The Setec Group has installed a high accuracy Linear Actuator INDACT ISOMOVE type IM80 on a thermoforming line. The movement with electromechanical cylinder allow to control the approach of the 2 sections of the mould (with a motion profile acc.-dec.) and the final pressure, whose control is not possible with pneumatic systems.

For this application a hydraulic cylinder was initially planned, but the particularity of the lay out made it difficult to manage the engineering part in a simple and economical way. The solution with a Concens actuator size 50, together with the control unit C2-15 has facilitate the handling.

Aluminum Plates Processing Machine
The application machines aluminium plates. Two SEL50TVT are used on an angle adjustment for a big milling head which can move from left to right. After the plates ends are milled on angle, they are transported onto a big frame of 4,5tons which rotates the plates 180 degrees.

Flight Simulator
In collabration with Polytechnic of Torino, we realized a flight simulator able to create conditions and stresses of pitch and roll as faithful as possible to reality. Alternatively to the usual flight simulators, which are made with the use of pneumatic actuators, Setec has used its electric actuators ISOMOVE, complete with brushless motors.

Alternatively to the simulators made with the use of pneumatic actuators, Setec has used its electric actuators ISOMOVE, complete with brushless motors, and this solution has confirmed all the advantages envisaged such responsiveness to the commands set, the high acceleration values possible and the absolute lack of those phenomena of "springing" which were present in the pneumatic solution.
