Setec has a complete range of linear actuators which can be used for a wide number of applications in different fields . In this specific case we are glad to introduce the CONCENS linear actuators , manufactured in Denmark , exclusively distributed on the Italian market by Setec since 2006 , in addition to the standard and special models produced by Setec .
When we have first included these products in the range of our linear actuators , very similar in appearance to the models with " gas spring " , we could not imagine the sales success and the interest soon obtained by the potential market.
Another pleasant surprise was the versatility of application of these actuators which can be used in areas such as the electromedical field, the field for disabled people equipment, the marine industry , due to the possibility to provide them in AISI 316 and with protection rate up to IP 69K, and also in the same industrial sector where Setec is present every day , letting us discovering for this type of product potential applications rather original .
We would like to describe this particular application where initially a hydraulic cylinder was planned, but the particularity of the lay out made it difficult to manage the engineering part in a simple and economical way.
In this case due to the loading and unloading of the material, there was the necessity to remove the encumbrance of a handrail from the operational level by moving this handrail from a sliding walkway of a plant for hardening.
As you can see from the photos and drawings , the selection of a CONCENS actuator size 50 associated with the control unit C2 -15 , has made easier this special movement allowing the stop as mechanical shoulder avoiding the use of external limit switches hardly positionable in the little space available.
